Teen sex is very controversial topic – it is hard for parents to realize that their children are growing up, they are experiencing a storm of hormones and dolls, which until recently were their favourite toys become past. Avoiding conversations about sex doesn’t make anything. It is much better if you give your children the knowledge about sex than they gain the information from the internet.
LIBIDO – IS THE TOPIC RESERVED ONLY FOR ADULTS?
Topic of libido often appears in the media, but still in Polish homes not every mother wants to talk about it with her daughter. Unfortunately, the world of sex is still something that women are ashamed, so until you realize that everyone has the drive, everyone have sex and everyone may have problems with it, such a situation will not change.
Speaking about the libido with teenage daughters is very important because problems with it, which can happen at the beginning may affect the adult life. Unfortunately, a lot of mothers do not want to realize that their daughters begin to think about their colleagues in the category of potential partners. Talking about it can be difficult, but it should not be avoided.
THE CAUSES OF PROBLEMS WITH LIBIDO IN TEENAGERS
Storm of hormones in the teenage body is totally common situation, but sometimes maturing girls can feel a great desire of having sex and after a while they can talk about sex with disgust. Sex is not reserved only for men. Women also can, and in fact should, derive pleasure from it. Problems with the libido of a teenager may be the result of their complexes. Maturing girls sometimes have acne, some of them are beginning to gain weight, others are losing weight. Weight fluctuations, sometimes are associated with eating disorders and are the reason why young girls are not able to accept their sexuality. Girls with underweight as well as overweight should think about natural supplements, which not only add energy, but also improve libido. It is worth to remember and it is worth to talk about it to the gynecologist. Young girls, often do not understand the whole mechanism, which is the endocrine system. They do not know why from day to day, their body begins to change or why some boys seen them as a sexy or as an ugly.
THE ROLE OF MOTHER
Actually, mother should inform her child that all these fairly rapid changes are normal. Talking about sex should not be limited to answering the fundamental question: where are the babies come from, but mother should also talk about e.g. contraception methods, or what is libido or why do women sometimes avoid sex.
Be a responsible parent and talk to your kid about sex. Although teens do not always want to talk about it, you have to make sure that everything you have told, your kid has understood and has the information from you, not from internet or from the colleagues. Problems with sexuality concern everyone, therefore shouldn’t be ignored.
